Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on February 2025
We at Livesey Exchange a project by Pem People are working to make our site accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
Web accessibility ensures that people of all abilities, including those with disabilities, can navigate, understand, and interact with digital content. This includes individuals with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments. Accessible websites accommodate assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation, enabling all users to access and engage with content seamlessly.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
To enhance usability for all visitors, we have implemented several accessibility features on the Livesey Exchange website, including:
-
Keyboard Navigation – Ensuring all interactive elements can be accessed via keyboard.
-
Alt Text for Images – Providing descriptions for images so screen readers can convey visual content.
-
Readable Fonts and Contrast – Using legible typefaces and sufficient color contrast for better visibility.
-
Responsive Design – Ensuring our website is accessible across different screen sizes and devices.
-
Descriptive Links and Buttons – Clearly labeling links and buttons to assist users with screen readers.
-
We continuously work to improve our website’s accessibility to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third party content
While we strive for full accessibility, certain third-party content, such as embedded videos, social media feeds, and external documents, may not fully comply with accessibility standards. Unfortunately, we have limited control over third-party platforms. However, we actively seek alternative solutions and provide accessible formats where possible.
If you encounter difficulties accessing third-party content, please contact us, and we will do our best to provide the information in an accessible format.
Accessibility arrangements in the organization
Livesey Exchange is dedicated to ensuring accessibility beyond our website, including:
-
Step-free access to our spaces where possible.
-
Accessible toilet facilities at designated locations.
-
Support staff is available to assist visitors with additional needs.
-
Alternative communication formats are available on request for events, workshops, and materials.
We continuously work to make Livesey Exchange a space where everyone feels welcome and can fully participate in our programs and services.
